Jewellery

Getting one's ideas into shape
The Higher School for Arts and Design with a focus on Jewellery offers a top-quality technical education and leads to the A-levels. It finishes with the school leaving and diploma examination and entitles students to attend university.
Since mankind's existence jewellery has been produced. It is mankind's inherent instinct to give artistic form to themselves and their environment. We have certain mental images of ourselves and ideas of what we want to look like, and goldsmiths put these ideas into shape.
The process of this shaping is supposed to be artistic, contemporary, appealing, new and proficient. We give our pupils everything they need for that to take with them!

How does this work?
We link traditional handicraft with contemporary know-how and put a lot of emphasis on creativity and bold approaches. That is what makes a good designer! We educate jewellery artists who know what is important, and therefore we impart:

  • Professional competence in theory and practice
  • Technical professionalism
  • Economically profound basic training, which substitutes parts of the entrepreneurship examinaton
  • Confidence and delight in working with new media
  • General knowledge on high school level which entitles to study at international colleges and universities
  • Cooperation with the economy: this is the ticket to professional life!
  • Practice-oriented project work and participation in competitions

And what comes next?
Our pupils have a bright future with many global opportunities:
